If you have been following me on Instagram you may have noticed I recently visited Mexico City. While I took advantage of this trip to invite some of my best friend’s to come along, the main reason for my trip was my oldest brother’s wedding.

If you are anything like me, the first thought that comes to your mind when you are invited to a wedding is “WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR”? (besides being happy for my brother of course 🙂 . I knew I wanted a long gown, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I have at least 5 gowns hanging in my closet as we speak and I’ve worn them ONCE! With all the pictures being taken I really wanted to wear something new. At least new to me!
That’s when Vow to be Chic came to the rescue. I had heard of them before but the idea of renting something made me nervous. What if it didn’t fit? How long can I keep the dress? All these questions kept coming to my mind. To my surprise, the process was super simple! You go online, pick the dress you want, and rent it for a fraction of the retail price. Many people think Vow to be Chic is only for bridesmaids, however, you really can find a dress for any occasion. Short dresses, LBD’S, LWD’S and even jumpsuits! And if you absolutely love it, you can buy it!
When I finally decided to rent my dress I was only a week away from the day I flew out #procrastinatorsunitetomorrow. I felt overwhelmed with so many dresses and honestly I just wanted someone to give me a few options and tell me everything was going to be ok. I fearfully clicked on their “chat now” button, thinking I would get some automatic message. Boy, was I wrong! Jenna, one of their stylist was amazing. I told her the date, the type of dress I was looking for and tada! In less than 10 minutes I had plenty options available for me. I ended up going with this Donna Morgan Olive Gown. Isn’t Gorgeous!
This dress retails for $400 and I paid $80 for the rental! They sent me two sizes and I had the dress for two weeks before I had to return it. If you are more organized than me, you can do a “try on service” several months before your event for only $20. You send the dress back and rent it two weeks before your event. The gown was perfect and it made me feel so fabulous! I order their long version since I was wearing heels. If you are wearing flats or short heels I recommend getting their short version since I had to wear really high heels to avoid stepping on the dress.
I truly feel wearing something beautiful on the outside can make you feel beautiful on the inside. Vow To Be Chic helped me do just that. I had a blast dancing with my brother, my friends and creating beautiful memories.
