There is nothing better than walking into a clean home. Wait there is actually something better! Walking into a clean and fresh closet! I love fashion and keeping my closet organized it’s very important to me. (Sure, sometimes I slack) but for the most part, I like to keep it neat. From the time I was young, I would spend hours organizing my wardrobe and planning my outfits for the week.
Being from Mexico City my mother and I have always bonded over fashion, bright colors and patterns. Familia is so important to me and I love that my mamá and I have something special that we share
Besides just keeping my bedroom and closet organized, I love to keep it smelling fresh. Anyone that knows me would tell you I LOVE scented candles and PlugIns® Scented Oil.My current obsession is the Radiant ™ Berries scent by Glade®. I bought them at my local Target and besides smelling wonderful, they are super affordable. The Glade® Radiant Berries™ Candles or PlugIns® Scented Oil are perfect for my bedroom. The smell just matches my personality and inspires me to bring out my boldness when choosing outfits.
As Florida’s weather is transitioning into spring, so is my wardrobe. I am starting to weed out the grays and browns and gearing towards pinks and reds. I’m a Latina woman and wearing bright colors is in my nature. Why blend in when you can stand out, right? These are some of the pieces I am currently obsessing over.
Check out these red pants, aren’t they beautiful? Just like the scent of my Glade® Radiant Berries™, these pants make me feel super sassy and playful. They are definitely a fun alternative to the same old black pants. Now remember when you wear a bold color like this, make sure you pair them with neutrals like these nude shoes and classy button up shirt. You can also dress them down for a super fun weekend outfit. I went to Mexico last month and these babies came with me. I wore them on the day we went to“La Casa Azul”, Frida Kahlo’s home.
Now moving on to my favorite part of spring. Flowers! I picked up this skirt the other day and I‘’m obsessed. I love that I can dress it up for work or down for a romantic date.
The place we were taking photos at started playing music and I was so excited to wear this outfit that I had a dance party during my photo shoot. My photographer said the Latina in me couldn’t help but to start dancing when I hear music. I think he is right!
Spring wardrobe would not be complete without bright and bold patterns. I had this dress in my closet since November and I am so excited I finally get to wear it.
Of course, I had to add a hint of pink to my outfit so I chose this pretty purse to put the final touch. I wore this dress for a stroll around the park with my boyfriend and it was perfect for a romantic outing.
People often ask me where I get my inspiration for my outfits and truly I have to credit the following
- My Mamá and Papá for always encouraging me to be myself, be proud of my Latina heritage and let my outgoing personality shine.
My scented candles at my home. It might sound silly but these scents truly inspire me every weekend when I’m planning my outfits for the week. I dare you to pick up Glade’s® Radiant Berries™ candle and you too will be inspired when getting dressed. Let me know on social media how much you love them!
I cannot wait to keep experimenting with pink and red hues inspired by Glade’s® Radiant Berries™ scent. Spring is definitely my favorite season and this beautiful weather will help my Latina personality, shine through my love of fashion. It’s easy, Feel Bright, Feel Glade®. Are you ready for spring? What colors are you super excited to wear?
Can’t wait to hear from you guys. Until next time my Littlefinders! Laila
