Hello my LittleFinders! I don’t know about you, but I am super excited for fall to finally be here. I love the feeling of the holidays just being around the corner, incorporating fall wardrobe into my daily outfits, and trying some new, fall drink recipes.
My birthday is in October, and I have been searching for a special drink to serve at my birthday party. I was recently introduced to Barritt’s Ginger Beer, and I am obsessed with it. Ginger Beer is not probably what you are thinking. Barritt’s Ginger Beer is a non-alcoholic soft drink, and while you can drink it on its own, it is often used in some of today’s popular cocktails. So what better time than now to try some drinks recipes.
For inspiration and ideas, I headed to Barritt’s website and definitely had to try the Mexican Mule. Being from Mexico, I felt it fits me perfectly, so I decided to make it for my friend Kathy’s and I get together. For us Floridian’s, fall is a bit different, and even though it’s almost October, hanging out by the pool is part of our weekend ritual.
The Mexican Mule is made with the following:
- 2 OZ Tequila
- 1 OZ Lime Juice
- 4 OZ Barritt’s Ginger Beer
- Garnish with lime & jalapeno
I also decided take a twist on the Mexican mule by creating a Strawberry Mexican Mule, by simply adding strawberry juice mix. It’s super easy to make, and yum yum delicious. (For a better taste, keep everything at a cold temperature before making your drink.)
You can also drink Barritt’s Ginger on its own, and there’s even a diet version. It is super refreshing for those hot Florida days that will continue for a few months. Barritt’s website has a ton of fun recipes, places where you can buy ginger beer, and some other fun things, so make sure to click here for all the fun.
I can’t wait to try a ton of different recipes with Barritt’s Ginger Beer for Halloween, Christmas and, of course, New Year’s. I would love to see what you guys make, so make sure to let me know in the comments!
Until next time, LittleFinders
