How to stick to your New Year Resolutions

Happy New Year my #Littlefinders, sorry I have been away from the blog for a while but I spent the last two weeks in Cuba! (Stay tuned for some awesome post about my trip, but you will see some photos in this post) in the meantime, I will say this trip was a great opportunity for a lot of self- reflection and with that, came really thinking about what I want to accomplish this year. I am huge on New Years Resolutions, and this year I am determined to stick to them. Here are some tips I came up with to do so. I hope you will join me on this journey of really accomplishing your dreams.

1.Write your goals and resolutions down on paper: This might seem obvious, but in reality, some people just think about their resolutions, but don’t put them down on paper. Writing them down gives them power and meaning. You can even go as far as creating a dream board to keep you motivated.

2.Be realistic: Don’t set yourself up for failure by hoping to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks. Set those goals that are attainable. Is better to take baby steps than fail at one giant race.

3. Have Will Power: This might seem apparent, but in reality, it is one of the biggest obstacles. Having willpower is huge. Visualize the big picture, whether you are saving money for a vacation, losing weight, being more organized, etc. Imagine yourself accomplishing your goal and how good it will feel.

4. Be kind to yourself: Chances are you will slip here and there. This is normal. You are human, just remember you can get back on track within minutes, an hour or a day. Not because you slipped one means you should give up on all your goals. Get right back up and keep going.

I hope these tips are helpful to you! I wish you nothing but, health, success, love, and prosperity this 2018!

Until next time LittleFinders
