Hello, My Littlefinders! Like always, wishing you are having a great week. Today I want to talk to you about thrifting. To be completely honest I used to be very picky about purchasing pre-owned anything. But in the past year, Mauricio and I have gotten into thrifting. Not only have we discovered some cool places, but also found some unique items in all categories, especially in clothing, accessories and home decor. Let me tell you about my favorite places and some of the things I have found.
This place is by far one of the best to find cool clothes and accessories at super affordable prices. There are a few ways to shop with them:
Instagram: Here you can find some of the more popular brands. They post multiple times a day. You can see the posts, call in when you see something you like and pay for it over the phone. Act quickly because things get SOLD fast. Mauricio got me awesome pink Dr. Martens boots for only $24!
Dollar Sale: Once a quarter, they also have a $1 sale. Yes, you read right, ONE DOLLAR. The best way to snatch the best items is to follow them on Instagram, so you know which weekend it will be. Arrive an hour early, bring your own bags and have a blast shopping. Some of the items I have found at the dollar sale:
Tory Burch Flats
American Eagle Jeans
Michael Kors shoes
Brand new with tags Forever 21 items
They also have a massive selection for the men in your life, so make sure you take them with you my lady Littlefinders.
Goodwill Boutique – Winter Park
This place is conveniently located across Avalon Exchange. This Goodwill is a little bit more “expensive” than all the other Goodwills. However, you will find higher end items, often with tags. I love this place for more professional clothes and accessories. Some items I have found here are:
DVF Shoes $20
New with tags pink Loft blazer $12
Nine West wristlet with tags $5
Justfab brand new pumps $12
We also love to look for unique home decor at this Goodwill. We found cool antique masks, an awesome vintage leader office chair and lots of photo frames.
Some other places worth visiting are:
Salvation Army on Semoran/436
Threadup – This is exclusively online and oh so convenient
I have found a love for hunting for treasures and thrifting. Not only have I saved a lot of money, but I also feel like I am giving new life to perfectly wearable items. Plus this is a super fun activity to do with my fiance. Stay tuned for a look book from all my finds!
Until Next Time Littlefinders!
