My favorite places to go thrifting

Hello, My Littlefinders! Like always, wishing you are having a great week. Today I want to talk to you about thrifting. To be completely honest I used to be very picky about purchasing pre-owned anything. But in the past year, Mauricio and I have gotten into thrifting. Not only have we discovered some cool places, but also found some unique items in all categories, especially in clothing, accessories and home decor. Let me tell you about my favorite places and some of the things I have found.

Avalon Exchange

This place is by far one of the best to find cool clothes and accessories at super affordable prices. There are a few ways to shop with them:

Instagram: Here you can find some of the more popular brands. They post multiple times a day. You can see the posts, call in when you see something you like and pay for it over the phone. Act quickly because things get SOLD fast. Mauricio got me awesome pink Dr. Martens boots for only $24!

Dollar Sale: Once a quarter, they also have a $1 sale. Yes, you read right, ONE DOLLAR. The best way to snatch the best items is to follow them on Instagram, so you know which weekend it will be. Arrive an hour early, bring your own bags and have a blast shopping. Some of the items I have found at the dollar sale:

Tory Burch Flats
Nike Shoes
American Eagle Jeans
Michael Kors shoes
Brand new with tags Forever 21 items

They also have a massive selection for the men in your life, so make sure you take them with you my lady Littlefinders.

Being from Mexico, two things are dear to my heart. Mexican food and fresh produce. So many of the recipes I cook at home include peppers. Some of my favorite things to make are “Chiles Rellenos,” stuffed peppers and even some fresh salads. Bell peppers are so easy to add to so many dishes and go perfect with other vegetables such as squash and sweet corn. Luckily for me all of these are in season in Florida, you can look for bell peppers labeled Fresh From Florida at your local here to learn more
